New cancer drug YL217 enters first human tests
NCT ID NCT06859762
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Sep 18, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This early-phase study is testing an experimental drug called YL217 in 220 adults with advanced solid tumors that have not responded to standard treatments. The main goals are to check safety, find the best dose, and look for early signs that the drug can shrink tumors. Participants receive YL217 by IV infusion, and the study is currently recruiting.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- YL217 (an experimental drug given by IV infusion)
- What this could lead to
- If it works, this could point toward a new treatment option for people with advanced solid tumors that have not responded to other therapies.
- What could go wrong
- This is a very early, first-in-human Phase 1 trial, so the main goals are safety and finding the right dose. It is too soon to know if YL217 will shrink tumors or help patients live longer, and side effects are unknown.
