First seen Apr 13, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study looks at whether the time of year yerba mate is harvested and how people drink it (as mate, tereré, or both) can improve cholesterol and triglyceride levels. About 198 adults with lipid disorders will drink specially prepared yerba mate for 6 months. Researchers will check their blood fats at the start and after 30, 90, and 180 days to see if there's a benefit.
