First seen May 10, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tested whether applying a lidocaine (Xylocaine) compress before a trigger finger injection reduces pain during the procedure. 60 adults with trigger finger received either the numbing compress or a placebo. The main goal was to see if pain scores were lower with the compress. Results could help make this common treatment more comfortable.
