New heart scan agent aims to spot dangerous blockages more accurately

NCT ID NCT07439133

First seen Mar 04, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study tests whether a new injection called XTR004, used with a PET scan, can better detect blood-flow-blocking narrowings in the heart arteries of people with known or suspected stable coronary artery disease. About 395 adults aged 18 to 80 will receive the injection and undergo imaging. The results will be compared to standard tests to see if the new method is more accurate.
