Scientists search for clues in inherited vision loss disease
NCT ID NCT00055029
Summary
This study aims to better understand X-linked juvenile retinoschisis (XLRS), an inherited eye disease that causes progressive vision loss primarily in young males. Researchers will examine patients and their family members to learn how specific genetic changes relate to the severity of eye problems. The goal is to gather knowledge that could help guide future treatment development for this condition.
