New hope for diabetic foot ulcers: amniotic membrane treatment tested in clinical trial

Summary
This study tests whether a weekly application of Xcell Amnio Matrix, a product made from amniotic membrane, helps diabetic foot ulcers heal faster when added to standard wound care. About 135 adults with diabetes and a foot ulcer that has not healed for at least 4 weeks will take part. The main goal is to see if more ulcers close completely within 12 weeks compared to standard care alone.
