Shaping sentences: new visual tool aims to boost writing skills for deaf students

NCT ID NCT06860022

Summary

This study is testing a visual teaching method called 'shape coding' to help deaf and hard-of-hearing middle schoolers write sentences with better grammar and word order. Researchers will work with 30 students in grades 5-8 to see if this approach helps them learn more efficiently. The goal is to gather knowledge that can guide better language and literacy support for these students.
