Can writing your life story improve your health?
NCT ID NCT02472379
Summary
UCLA researchers studied whether writing about personal experiences could influence health in older women. For six weeks, 78 healthy women aged 60 and over wrote weekly about their lives and filled out surveys. The study measured changes in blood markers for inflammation and self-reported well-being before, after, and two months following the writing period.
