Cutting nerves during wrist surgery could stop years of pain
NCT ID NCT07393061
Summary
This study is testing whether cutting specific nerves in the wrist during fracture repair surgery can prevent long-term chronic pain. It involves adults with severe, complex wrist fractures who are already getting surgery to fix the broken bone. The nerve procedure is done at the same time as the main surgery, aiming to block pain signals from the joint.
