Nerve surgery during wrist repair aims to stop chronic pain
NCT ID NCT07393061
Summary
This study is testing if cutting specific wrist nerves during surgery for a severe, shattered wrist fracture can prevent long-term chronic pain. The procedure is done at the same time as the standard surgery to fix the broken bone. Researchers want to see if this helps patients recover with less pain and better wrist function.
