First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study explores using a special local anesthesia called WALANT during wrist fracture repair with a tiny camera (arthroscopy). The goal is to see if this approach can reduce pain, avoid general anesthesia, and speed up recovery. About 12 adults with a broken wrist will be enrolled to test if the surgery can be completed without switching to stronger anesthesia.
