New collagen patch tested to speed up healing of severe wounds
NCT ID NCT06873867
Summary
This study tested whether adding a collagen-based skin substitute to standard vacuum-assisted wound therapy helps deep wounds heal better than the vacuum therapy alone. It involved 104 adults with long-lasting, full-thickness wounds. Researchers measured wound size, healing time, and quality of life over seven weeks to see which combination was more effective.
