Oxford trial: sticky sensors could save hospital patients
NCT ID NCT05118477
Summary
This study tested a new wireless monitoring system to see if it helps hospital staff detect when a patient's condition is getting worse more quickly than standard checks. 240 adults recovering from surgery wore small, comfortable sensors that tracked their heart rate, breathing, and oxygen levels. Nurses could see this data in real-time on a dashboard and get alerts, aiming to allow faster help if needed.
