First seen Feb 14, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study tests a new wireless sensor that lets parents and caregivers monitor brain pressure at home for people with hydrocephalus, a condition where fluid builds up around the brain. The sensor is placed alongside the drainage tube during surgery. The goal is to see if it is safe to use in people, after being tested successfully in animals. About 21 adults and children will take part, and they will be followed for 3 to 6 months after surgery.
