Summary
This study looked at why planned surgeries are cancelled on the day they were supposed to happen. Researchers reviewed 408 cases to find out the reasons—whether from the patient, the hospital, or the surgical team—and measured how anxious patients felt after the cancellation. The goal is to help hospitals reduce these cancellations and improve care.
