Summary
This study looked at why elective surgeries get cancelled on the day they were scheduled. Researchers reviewed 408 cases to find out if the reason was patient-related, hospital-related, or due to the surgical team. They also measured how anxious patients felt after the cancellation. The goal is to help hospitals reduce these last-minute cancellations and improve care.
