Cancer treatment's hidden effect on body's fuel burning revealed

NCT ID NCT07393633

First seen Feb 06, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study looked at how a single round of chemotherapy or immunotherapy changes the way the body burns fat and sugar in women with gynecologic cancers. Researchers measured breathing and blood markers in 43 women before and after treatment. The goal was to learn more about how cancer therapies affect whole-body metabolism, not to treat the cancer itself.
