WHO-Style childbirth care may ease labour pain and boost mental health

NCT ID NCT07451691

First seen Mar 11, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study tests whether a World Health Organization-based care model—focused on respect, support, and involving women in decisions—can reduce labour pain, increase comfort and satisfaction, and lower the risk of postpartum depression. About 108 pregnant women at term will be randomly assigned to receive this model or standard care. The goal is to see if this approach improves the overall childbirth experience and mental health after delivery.
