Summary
This study looked at whether treating private well water with ultraviolet (UV) light can reduce stomach and respiratory infections in children under 5. About 28 households in Pennsylvania with private wells took part. Families reported symptoms weekly via text and online surveys to compare illness rates between those using UV-treated water and those drinking untreated well water.
