Summary

This study looked at whether treating private well water with ultraviolet (UV) light can lower the number of stomach and respiratory infections in children under 5. About 28 families with private wells in Pennsylvania took part. Half used UV-treated water, half did not, and researchers tracked illness symptoms via text messages and online surveys.
