New group care model aims to boost health for Opioid-Exposed infants

Summary

This study tested a group-based well child care program for mothers receiving treatment for opioid use disorder and their infants. The goal was to see if group care, compared to individual care, could improve how often families attend checkups, parenting knowledge, and mother-child bonding. About 49 mothers and babies took part, with care tailored to the needs of opioid-exposed infants.
