New group care model aims to support moms in opioid recovery and their babies

Summary

This study tested a group well child care program for mothers in treatment for opioid use disorder and their infants. About 49 mother-baby pairs took part, with some receiving group care and others individual care. The goal was to see if group care improves how often families attend checkups and enhances parenting knowledge and mother-child bonding.
