Lifting weights to lift brain fog: new study targets perimenopausal women
NCT ID NCT07272174
Summary
This study is testing whether a 6-month strength training program can improve memory and thinking skills in perimenopausal women who are experiencing 'brain fog' or cognitive difficulties. Researchers will compare weightlifting exercises to a lighter balance and stretching program in 50 inactive women aged 40-55. The goal is to see if building muscle strength can also help bolster brain health during this life transition.
