First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 38 times
Summary
This study tested whether lifestyle coaching delivered through a hospital's online patient portal helps adults maintain weight loss and prevent diabetes. 269 adults who had already lost at least 5% of their body weight took part. Some received coaching from regular clinic staff, while others only tracked their weight, diet, and activity. The goal was to see if coaching leads to better long-term weight control.
