Weekly shot could ease burden for kids needing growth hormone
NCT ID NCT04970654
Summary
This study tested if a new weekly growth hormone medicine (somapacitan) works as well and is as safe as a standard daily medicine (Norditropin®) for children with growth hormone deficiency. 110 Chinese children participated and were randomly assigned to receive either the daily or weekly injection for one year. The goal was to see if the weekly option could provide similar growth benefits while reducing the number of injections needed.
