New online tool aims to curb veteran suicides

Summary

This VA study tests a 40-minute web-based program designed to teach veterans coping skills for suicidal thoughts. 180 veterans with recent suicidal ideation will be randomly assigned to the web program or standard care. Researchers will measure changes in suicidal thoughts and behaviors over one month to see if the online tool offers extra benefit.
