Smart sensors aim to predict sepsis in ICU patients

NCT ID NCT07595848

First seen May 21, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether wearable sensors can predict sepsis in intensive care patients. About 360 adults at risk of sepsis will wear devices that track vital signs and sweat lactate for up to 48 hours. The goal is to use this data to train artificial intelligence models that could warn doctors earlier, potentially saving lives.
