First seen Mar 29, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study looked at whether wearing an activity monitor after heart surgery helps patients get moving sooner and return to their normal activity levels faster. Twelve adults who had cardiovascular surgery and could walk without help wore a wrist device to track their steps and motivation. The goal was to see if the tracker could improve recovery, shorten hospital stays, and reduce readmissions.
