First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study tests a wearable device that listens to breathing sounds to detect and predict when opioids cause dangerously slow or stopped breathing. About 120 adults recovering from surgery will wear the device, and its accuracy will be compared to standard monitors. The goal is to see if this device can give early warnings to prevent breathing emergencies.
