Summary
This study tests a device called Walkasins, worn inside the shoe and around the ankle, to see if it can improve walking and daily activity in older adults with nerve damage (peripheral neuropathy) often caused by type 2 diabetes. About 18 people aged 60 and older will wear the device for 10 weeks while researchers measure their steps, balance, and activity levels. The goal is to help reduce fall risk and improve quality of life.
