First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study checks if a water immersion wrinkle test can accurately diagnose small fiber neuropathy, a nerve condition that causes pain, numbness, and other symptoms. Researchers will compare the wrinkle test results with standard exams in 38 adults. If accurate, this simple, low-cost test could help doctors diagnose the condition more easily.
