Summary
This study aimed to find the best tool for cleaning around permanent lower retainers to keep gums healthy. Researchers randomly assigned 70 people with these retainers to use either a water flosser or an interdental brush. They then compared how well each tool reduced plaque, bleeding, and gum inflammation over six months.
