Summary
This study aimed to find the best tool for keeping gums healthy for people with a permanent wire retainer glued behind their lower teeth. Researchers randomly assigned 70 participants to use either a water flosser or a small interdental brush for cleaning. They measured plaque, bleeding, and gum inflammation over six months to see which method worked better for this specific dental appliance.
