New registry tracks safety of heart device for AF patients

Summary
This study is a registry that will collect real-world information on the safety and success of the WATCHMAN FLX Pro device, which is used to close a part of the heart called the left atrial appendage in people with atrial fibrillation (a type of irregular heartbeat). About 1,000 participants will be followed for a short time after the procedure to check for serious events like stroke or death. The goal is to see how well the device works in everyday medical practice.
