First seen Apr 25, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tested whether warming the intravenous (IV) mannitol solution before giving it to people with sudden high eye pressure could reduce pain and improve comfort. 142 adults were randomly assigned to receive either warmed or room-temperature mannitol. Researchers measured pain, comfort, infusion speed, and side effects to see if warming made the treatment more tolerable.
