First seen Apr 25, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looked at whether warming the intravenous (IV) mannitol solution can reduce pain and improve comfort for people with a sudden, dangerous rise in eye pressure. 142 adults were randomly assigned to receive either warmed or room-temperature mannitol. Researchers measured pain, comfort, infusion speed, and side effects to see if warming helps.
