Summary
This study looked at whether adding walnuts to your diet can change the bacteria in your gut and reduce signs of colon cancer risk. About 140 people at higher risk for colorectal cancer ate walnuts for a month. Researchers measured changes in gut bacteria, blood markers, and colon tissue to see if walnuts have a protective effect.
