Summary

This early-stage trial will test the safety and tolerability of an experimental drug, VVZ-2471, in 60 healthy adults who show high impulsivity. What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

VVZ-2471

What this could lead to

If successful, this study could pave the way for future trials testing VVZ-2471 in people who use substances, potentially leading to new treatments for substance use disorders.

What could go wrong

This is an early Phase 1 safety study in healthy volunteers, not patients. The drug may prove unsafe or poorly tolerated, and even if safe here, it may not help with substance use in later trials.
