Immune cell therapy shows promise for Post-Transplant viral infections

NCT ID NCT04331275

First seen Nov 05, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tests whether specially designed immune cells (VSTs) can safely treat viral infections in people who have had a solid organ transplant. About 42 participants will receive VSTs made from their own blood. The goal is to find a better way to fight infections without harming the transplanted organ or causing severe side effects from standard antiviral drugs.
