Virtual reality training helps physical therapy students remember skills better

NCT ID NCT07270107

Summary

This study tested whether teaching physical therapy students using immersive virtual reality (VR) works better than traditional classroom teaching. Researchers compared how well third-year students learned neurorehabilitation techniques using either VR headsets or standard face-to-face instruction. While both methods worked equally well right after training, students who learned with VR remembered their practical skills better two weeks later.
