NCT ID NCT07335666

First seen Jan 18, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tested whether virtual reality glasses or simple game cards could help children aged 5 to 10 feel less fear, anxiety, and pain during wound care. Ninety children were split into three groups: standard care, standard care with game cards, or standard care with VR. Researchers measured fear, anxiety, pain, heart rate, and oxygen levels before and after the procedure to see which distraction method worked best.
