Summary
This study tests whether letting cataract patients watch a virtual reality simulation of their upcoming surgery can reduce anxiety during the real procedure. About 60 adults scheduled for cataract surgery will wear VR glasses beforehand to see and hear what happens in the operating room. Researchers will measure self-reported anxiety and heart rate during surgery to see if the VR preview helps patients feel calmer.
