Virtual reality offers new hope for easing cancer pain

Summary

This study is testing a new virtual reality device designed to help people with chronic cancer pain. The device uses distraction techniques and principles from behavioral therapy to help manage pain. Researchers will enroll 40 adults with cancer who have experienced pain for at least three months to see if the VR system is practical, safe, and helpful compared to watching videos on a tablet.
