Virtual reality aims to train doctors to save veteran lives
NCT ID NCT07219355
Summary
This study tests whether virtual reality (VR) training can help healthcare providers improve their skills in discussing suicide prevention and safe storage of firearms and medications with Veterans. Researchers will compare healthcare providers who complete an immersive VR training simulation to those who watch a standard video training. The goal is to see if VR helps providers feel more confident and comfortable having these important conversations, which could ultimately help reduce suicide risk among rural Veterans.
