Virtual reality aims to train doctors to prevent veteran suicides

NCT ID NCT07219355

Summary

This study is testing whether a virtual reality (VR) training program can better prepare healthcare providers to discuss suicide prevention and safe storage of firearms and medications with Veterans in rural areas. Researchers will compare the VR training to a standard video training to see which one improves providers' confidence and skills more effectively. The goal is to find better ways to train providers to have these difficult but potentially life-saving conversations.
