First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tested whether using virtual reality (VR) during physical therapy helps children and young adults (ages 7-25) move more and enjoy therapy more. Sixty participants did both VR-assisted and traditional therapy sessions. Researchers measured activity levels with a watch-like device and asked about effort. The goal was to see if VR can make therapy more engaging and improve quality of life.
