Forests in a headset: VR nature trips aim to soothe Seniors' minds

NCT ID NCT07443657

Summary

This study explored whether using virtual reality (VR) to experience nature could help improve mood and thinking skills in older adults. Thirty participants aged 60-90 were assigned to either try the VR nature program or be on a waiting list. The program involved weekly VR sessions over five weeks, immersing users in peaceful natural environments like forests and islands to see if it reduced feelings of distress and improved focus.
