Summary

This study tested whether a 4-week hybrid curriculum combining virtual reality simulations with live-streamed neurosurgical procedures could improve decision-making and interest in neurosurgery among 112 fourth-year medical students. Students were randomly assigned to either the hybrid program or traditional online videos and readings. The goal was to see if this remote approach could effectively train students when in-person clerkships were disrupted by COVID-19.
