NCT ID NCT05796388

First seen Jan 23, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding immersive virtual reality (VR) therapy to the standard medication linaclotide helps adults with irritable bowel syndrome and constipation (IBS-C) feel better. About 65 participants will receive either real VR or a sham VR alongside their medication. The goal is to see if the combination improves IBS symptoms and quality of life more than medication alone.
