First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated Jun 23, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study tests whether a virtual reality headset that plays hypnotic stories and images can reduce anxiety and resistance during hygiene care for people with Alzheimer's disease. Researchers will compare the VR approach to standard care in 24 patients living in a long-term care center. The goal is to see if this calming technique can make bathing and toileting less stressful for both patients and caregivers.
